Remove sticker residue

This trick works like a charm on sticker residue if you give it some time. First, remove as much of the paper label as you can-it's the goo beneath you want begone from the your glass or plastic surface.

Next, smear some vegetable oil over the residue, working it into the surface with your fingers. Leave the oil to soak for a few hours and then scrub the remaining residue off with judicious use of hot soapy water and a scrubbing pad, while taking care not to leave behind any scratches. Tip: I have a bundled-up wad of produce mesh bags that I use as a hardworking scrubber-best non-expense I ever made.

Difficulty level: Easy
