Worried about electromagnetic fields and its links to cancer and other health problems? Brian Clark Howard of The Daily Green suggests sticking a cactus next to your computer monitor to counter its effects.

In the mid-1980s, researchers at the Institute of Geobiology in Chardonne, Switzerland discovered that employees who used to suffer from headaches and fatigue felt better after working for two years with a cactus next to their PCs. The scientists theorized that cacti evolved over the years to counter the effects of harsh solar radiation. Bonus: You get to add some nature to your daily grind. ::The Daily Green
