Whether we're drinking pomegranate juice from those adorable POM bottles or downing organic liquor from funky glass containers, we often think about what we're drinking, but not the bottle it comes in. For every bottle we don't reuse or recycle, we help pile up a landfill. The next time you have a bottle with a cool shape, turn it into a personalized vase.
How to turn a bottle into a vase:
1. Locate your bottle.
Any bottles with a funky shape will do.

2. Decorate your bottle.
I used some cool paper from an old magazine and eco-friendly glue to seal my bottle with a desirable and hip image.

3. Insert flowers and water!
Unfortunately, I didn't have any flowers handy when this project was shot. Close your eyes and imagine your vase with lively and fresh flowers! (Make sure you're using eco-friendly flowers, please!)

Enjoy! All kinds of bottles are cool for this project, but the final result of your vase is really in your hands here. You can decorate the bottle however you wish and give it a place in your home accordingly. Saving items like these from going to a landfill, or even to a recycling plant, is green.
