Stuff Happens: The Power of Television

Mon Nov 24, 2008 05:25 AM ET

A monster may be living in your bedroom; a thirsty vampire that steals energy even when you aren't thinking about it. That monster is your TV, an energy vampire that contributes to the $1,000,000 a year Americans spend to keep their electronics in "standby" mode.

Fortunately, you don't need a wooden stake or a string of garlic to battle these vampires. All it takes is the flip of a switch. To find out more, watch this online video from Stuff Happens.

And don't miss Stuff Happens Episode: Bedroom.
