1. Locate your can.

We always have a collection of Red Bull cans in our home, so I used one of those. Cut the can 2-3 inches from the bottom. Be careful with the metal edges.

2. Paint the outside of the can with eco-friendly paint.

If you don't want to decorate the can with paint, feel free to decorate it however you wish! Just be careful not to use anything extraordinarily flammable...like fabric. Use a hole puncher to punch multiple sporadic holes all over the can.

3. Place your tea light candles in the new holders and enjoy!

When my roommate came home and saw these glowing the other night, he was impressed! These cute little things are easy to make. I only have one precaution to offer you: be careful with the edges. You can dull them if you'd like by sanding them down. I didn't bother doing this because, to be frank, I don't spend a lot of time touching the edges of my candle holders. This project is a great way to reuse, reduce, and add to your green home simultaneously.
