Distinguished author Michael Pollan (In Defense of Food, The Omnivore's Dilemma) has joined forces with Planet Green chef Emeril Lagasse to create an exciting new food stuff for you and your family, the SuperSize Corn Dog.

Mr. Pollan has been touring the United States and Canada in support of his wonderful book In Defense of Food and says "I've certainly noticed at the grass roots level that people are really crying out for new foods using corn." Who else would Mr. Pollan turn to other than Emeril to make his dream a reality? After all, as Mr. Pollan notes, "I'm a journalist, not a chef." When asked what makes his Corn Dog so special, Emeril demurred and said, "Michael had the great idea, I just turned it up a notch".

The timing of the launch of this great processed treat couldn't be better. People are tired of being exhorted to eat weird looking vegetables. Moms and dads everywhere are looking for something cheap and filling and fast to feed the kiddies during the busy day.

Here's hoping that this is just the first in a long line of processed corn foods from this talented pair. At the launch of the SuperSize Corn Dog Mr. Pollan just beamed and said "I know my great-grandmother would love it. And so will you." Look for it in the center aisles of your local grocery giant.

Difficulty Level: Ridiculously Easy
