2 limes, cut into 16 pieces, plus more for garnish
32 fresh mint leaves, plus sprigs for garnish
1/4 cup superfine sugar
2 cups white rum
2 cups ugli fruit juice, (orange or grapefruit juice is a fine substitute)
Seltzer water
Sugar cane swizzle sticks, for garnish
Divide the lime pieces, mint leaves and sugar evenly among 4 (12-ounce) glasses. Using a muddler, mash the lime pieces and bruise the mint leaves while dissolving the sugar. Add enough chipped ice to fill each glass. Add 4 ounces of rum and 1/2 cup of ugli fruit juice to each glass, and then use a cocktail shaker to combine and thoroughly chill each drink separately. Pour the contents of the shaker back into the glasses and top each drink with a splash of the seltzer water. Garnish the glasses with lime, mint sprigs and sugar cane sticks.
