What you read and watch on television has a huge impact on your set of beliefs. If you read mind numbing celebrity rags then you can be more likely to lead a consumption-driven life. If you read books on going green, you're likely to feel more compelled to make greener decisions. That also goes for your kids. Here's a great book to get your kids interested in green early on.

Read your kids Ready, Set, Go Organic! It's the story of Ophelia the cow and her animal friends as they take kids on a journey to explore the meaning of organic. Along the way they learn why organic is important for keeping both us and the planet healthy.

When author Kelley Ann Lovelace got into sustainable eating and cooking for her family she wanted an impactful way to spread the word and decided to write her first children's book. With great illustrations by Kristin Doney, the book makes sustainable eating easy to understand for the little ones. The book ends with kid-friendly recipes for Organic Rainbow Smoothies, Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread, and Ophelia's Pancakes. What a fun way to get your kids started early in the green movement!
