I know. This sounds horrible and insane but you'll be pleasantly surprised by this nutrient dense smoothie. A sweetness comes out of the kale and gives these smoothies a delicious, hard to pinpoint taste. This is a great way to sneak kale into someone's diet.

The smoothie comes out a beautiful pale, minty green. And like any smoothie recipe, you are free to play with it by adding extra fruits or nuts. But start off with this one as-is and taste that amazing kale vibe.

Kale Smoothies
2 frozen bananas
1 cup kale, raw and coarsely chopped (My favorite variety for smoothies is lacinato.)
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup milk of your choice (I usually use cow or soy for this)
1 tbsp honey

Method

1. Throw the bananas in a blender along with the kale, vanilla, and a cup of the milk.

2. While it's running, pour in the rest of the milk and honey. You may need a little extra milk to get it to the consistency you like.
