If you’re a single greenie looking to swoon a sweetie, ‘tis the perfect season. Spring spells romance—from the birds' flirtatious chirping to blossoming flowers and one of my favorite, urban pastimes—the picnic.

It can’t get more luxurious or sexy than a spread of wine, cheese and fruit, and a blanket to sprawl out on. Or I didn’t think so at least, until I stumbled upon Instructables and found this elegant-yet-easy recipe to make traditional baguette following the French tradition and thought, what a perfect pair for wine and cheese--and more pressing to folks on the prowl—a fabulous and foodie-approved way to impress your date.

Just think how turned on they’ll get hearing about how you slaved over it, covered in flour, kneading the dough with all your strength. (When, secretly, you followed seven super easy steps—saving money and excess packaging.)
