Unknown.

Thanks to Haagen-Dazs, eating ice cream is a good start to helping save the dwindling honeybee population, which we rely on for one-third of our food supply. The ice cream company, whose ingredients also depend upon bee pollination, launched a Web site to help spread awareness and fund honeybee research. They've even created a limited edition flavor to help spread the word: Vanilla Honey Bee.

As if you needed a guilt-free excuse, grab a spoon and indulge in one of their "bee-dependent" flavors-proceeds from each pint go towards helping the little buzzers! If your pants begin to feel a bit too snug, here are some other ways to help:1. Buy local honey and beehive products like beeswax candles to support beekeepers.

2. Eat organically. Pesticides have been linked to CCD, or Colony Collapse Disorder.

3. Increase native bee populations by planting bee-friendly plants such as lavender, jasmine, rosemary, violets, thyme, and sunflowers.

4. Make a direct donation to Pennsylvania State University and University of California at Davis, two of the worlds leading honeybee research facilities.

5. Express your concern about the disappearing bees to state and federal legislators.
