It's a nightly, and every morning ritual: twice every day, you stand in front of the bathroom mirror and brush your teeth. That's a lot of tooth brushing sessions. And that's about 730 opportunities for greening.

So what can you do to make brushing your teeth a little greener? You can start with the products you use.

Green Toothpaste
The jury's still out on whether there really is such a thing—but most agree that natural toothpaste like Tom's of Maine offer the greenest toothpaste available.

Eco-Friendly Toothbrushes
There are clearer-cut examples of green toothbrushes you can buy—like this Source toothbrush that's made out of reused wood and sports a replaceable head, which eliminates most of the waste from the disposable brush.

This remarkably designed toothbrush will help you save both water and eliminate the need for disposable water cups—tilted at the right angle, it shoots a fountain of water upwards for rinsing your mouth.

Save Water While You Brush
Finally, follow this important, oft-forgotten (or ignored) tip: turn off the water after you wet your brush. Don't let it run while you scrub your teeth—that's a huge waste of water.

Follow those tips, and your morning/nightly routine will be greener in no time at all.
