Easter Sunday is one of the best feasts of the year. It's a great reason to get together and celebrate with friends and family and it doesn't have to be pricey. By eating vegetarian you can really control the cost of your meal which would be tremendously inflated by the cost of all that ham, lamb, or turkey. After checking out Planet Green's guide to greener Easter eggs it's time to get down to business. Here's my take on a greener Easter feast:
- Get your dose of delicious with Kelly Rossiter's killer Mushroom Barley Pie.
Cost: About $25.00 - Pair a heavier pie with lighter sides like Emeril's Oven Roasted Green Beans with Pecans and Vanilla-Scented Fruit Salad. The salad is made extra special with the addition of mint, real vanilla bean, and agave nector.

Cost: About $31.00 fruit salad - Soak up all the juice from the fruit salad with Kelly Rossiter's homemade French bread. The recipe makes three free form loaves. The recipe suggests fennel, sesame, or poppy seeds. Cost: About $12.00
- After all those veggies, serve a real treat for dessert like Real Food Daily's Chocolate Pudding.
