It seems like it would work. Sacrificing your weekend late slumber to get your hands on the best farmers' market finds—beating the crowds and the headache.

But according to Consumer Reports, the best time to bargain shop is the tail end of the market’s day. The reason being that the sellers rather not lug their stuff back to the farm, and are more willing to slash prices.

So, sleepy heads, if farmers' market shopping was once an impossible lazy weekend feat, consider it manageable. You may end up scoring the best deal in town.
