What is the part of the cigarette that is the most harmful to the environment? It is the part that is consistently tossed out of cars and building...the BUTT. The butt contains residue from up to 599 additives found in cigarettes. The butt is also the catalyst for many forest fires.

In fact, about 30% of cigarette butts become litter instead of trash.

In the show Wa$ted, a solution was presented to a family of smokers. It is called the X-tray. It keeps your butt out of the natural world and just as important...out of your car. The device snaps onto the outside of your window and remains there with fists folded, waiting for your butt "outside."

Other ways to keep toxic butts out of the wastestream:

  1. Roll your Own. More natural. Less toxins.

  2. Switch to additive-free cigarettes.

  3. Carry a personal ashtray.

  4. Quit!
