Unknown.

While Lloyd was suggesting earlier in the week that we imbibe a little organic red wine in the new year, the folks over at Epicurious were advocating for more information on those wine bottles.

Apparently, California's Bonny Doon Vineyards is doing just that. Starting with the 2007 vintage, all bottles of both red and white wines will carry a listing of all of the ingredients. Well-known wine writer Natalie MacLean is also in favour of more information on labels, pointing out that the U.S. government allows more than 200 additives in wine.

I'm all for more detailed labeling on wine bottles, as well as on labels on the food we buy. It would be nice to be able to make a consumer choice based on information, rather than guesswork, or a pretty label. Where do you side on the debate?
