Planet 100 digs hybrids of all type—animal, vegetable and automotive. But with the resurfacing of a strange video from Java of a half-human, half-snake mummy we got excited about presenting our Top 5 Freaky Hybrid Animals.

WATCH VIDEO: Top 5 Freaky Hybrid Animals

5. Fish with Human Teeth
A Texas fisherman reels in a 20 pound fish on Buffalo Springs Lake only to notice a set of human-like teeth.

While the unusual catch initially confounded Texas Parks and Wildlife, it was later identified as a Pacu fish, a cousin to the piranha called "frugivores" primarily found in South America, with teeth so strong they could crack fruit and nuts.

4. Zebroid
Zebroids are a zebra hybrid—a cross between a zebra and any other equine species.

Zebroids have been bred since the 19th century. In most cases, the sire is a zebra stallion and the mare is the other equine species. Offspring of a donkey sire and zebra mare, called a zebra hinny, do exist but are extremely rare.

3. Green Sea Slug
So far we've seen animal hybrids and animal-human hybrids but how about a animal-plant hybrid?

The green sea slug is part animal, part plant and it's the first critter discovered to carry the plant pigment, chlorophyll. With their contraband genes, the slugs can carry out photosynthesis—the process plants use to convert sunlight into energy!

2. Ligers & Tigons
It's not just Napoleon Dynamite's fantasy. Ligers and Tigons are in fact quite common.

Ligers, a cross breed between a male lion and female tiger, are world's biggest cats. While Tigons, a cross between a male tiger and a female lion, are prone towards drawfism. Another interesting fact: Male Ligers and Tigons are usually sterile.

1. Half Snake Half Human
A bizarre half snake, half human measuring some 35 inches from, er, body to tail was discovered in Western Java in Indonesia.

Most say the video is a hoax, but the serpent with 2 legs and a primate-like face and a mane of long blonde hair is now a popular part of Indonesian legend. Nicknamed "Jenglot" many believe it to be a primal nature spirit. Another half snake half primate has also purportedly been found in Pahang in Malaysia.

That's our Top 5 Hybrid Animals. Intriguing or too creepy for words? What other ones have you heard of? Let us know or just leave a comment at the Planet Green You Tube page. See you next week for more Planet 100.
