Psychic Octopus Retires
He's been called the oracle from Oberhausen, the soccer sage, and the psychic cephalopod—we are of course referring to Paul the Octopus who recently retired with a perfect World Cup record.
Paul had as many correct picks as he has legs, 8 to be precise, correctly predicting the result of every Germany game and then picking Spain to beat the Netherlands in the final. This awesome achievement has garnered him worldwide fame as well as "revenge grilling" death threats!

Crawfisher Sings the Blues

He said residents were willing to do whatever it takes, including going green.

Sea Life Turmoil
Scientists are reporting signs that the Gulf of Mexico oil spill is altering the marine food web by killing some creatures and spurring the growth of others more suited to a polluted environment. If such impacts continue, the scientists warn of a grim reshuffling of sea life that could imperil the region's multibillion-dollar fishing industry.
