The EPA's second annual energy-efficient building ranking is out, with Los Angeles nabbing the top spot for the second year in a row.
The list compares major U.S. metropolitan areas and ranks these cities by the number of EnergyStar buildings. LA had 293 EnergyStar buildings, that's 76 million square feet with energy efficiency upgrades leading to nearly $94 million in savings, equivalent to the energy use of 34,800 homes.

Soon, all restaurants that have over 20 locations will be required to prominently display nutrition information on menus and even drive-throughs. Government and healthcare companies are now invested in educating people about what they are eating. Processed food and factory farmed meat may not look so hot when people actually learn about them—and that's a win for the planet.
