WATCH VIDEO: Climate Message from Green Pope, Al Gore's Post-Copenhagen Plan
During his annual World Peace Day message, Pope Benedict the 16th also known as the "Green Pope" called for urgent action on climate change.
Citing climate change as a threat to peace, the Pope urged developed nations to adopt "more sober lifestyles" by becoming more energy efficient, creating less waste, managing forests and investing in renewable energies.
It seems the Vatican is putting its money where its mouth is: offsetting CO2 through reforestation and installing solar panels on the roof of its main auditorium.

Copenhagen Report
In a private event yesterday hosted by the Alliance for Climate Protection, Al Gore announced his post-Copenhagen plan. Gore said a US senate bill was key to the creation of a legally binding global agreement coming out of Copenhagen and he's worried about the quote vagueness in regards to the timeline of both the Senate bill and the final UN treaty.
Gore advocates setting a clear deadline—a US senate bill by Earth Day 2010, and a final UN climate treaty in July, the hottest month in Mexico City.
