The good guys at Global Inheritance are up to it again: they're improving on the already-cool hand powered listening station (debuted last year with Pearl Jam) to launch the latest album from Hot Chip, the Grammy-nominated British electropop band.

The listening station plays music only when it's powered by mechanical energy produced on-site, so if you're feeling lazy or tired—no juice. But start cranking, and you'll start listening. In this case, some lucky listeners even got a sneak preview of the new Hot Chip album before its official release on Tuesday, February 9.

To find out if the listening station is coming to a spot near you, check the Global Inheritance website. Interested in learning more? Contact them directly: energyfactory@globalinheritance.org.
