The Jan. 12 earthquake in Haiti struck a chord in the music world. The number of artists and bands doing special singles and concerts to help support Haiti relief efforts has been piling up. Money and supplies for the Caribbean country also are piling up. Here's an attempt at summarizing who's working on what in tune town.

"Bridge Over Troubled Water," the old Simon and Garfunkel classic sung at Sunday's Grammy Awards by Mary J. Blige and Andrea Bocelli. Being sold on iTunes.

"We Are The World,"
planned for a remake by Quincy Jones, the original producer, with new voices, after The Grammys.

"Hope for Haiti" telethon, the big one so far, with more than 100 stars from the music and entertainment industry, that aired Jan. 22. Donations are being taken for about six more months.

"Everybody Hurts,"
a cover of the REM song, being put together by American Idol judge and media mogul Simon Cowell. It will feature performances by Susan Boyle, the gold-throated spinster from "Britian's Got Talent," along with Leona Lewis, Kylie Minogue, James Blunt, Cheryl Cole, Take That, Michael Buble, Mika, James Morrison and others. It's due out Feb. 9.

"Saving OurSelves," or SOS, a benefit concert planned by BET on Feb. 5. It will be hosted by Queen Latifah, Sean "Diddy" Combs and Pharrell.

Wilco is offering free downloads for folks who pledge to pledge to Haiti relief. The shows are from New York and London, and the band is suggesting donations of $15.

"Stranded" is the title of a single recorded by Bono of U2, along with Jay-Z and Rihanna. The trio performed the song during the "Hope for Haiti" telethon.

"Rise Again" is a single by Reggae artist Shaggy and other musicians including Sean Paul.

What did we miss? Let us know below. And take a moment to consider making a donation. It's hard not to justify it, with all the good vibes being sent out by these efforts.
