Right in the middle of Super Bowl Sunday, The Who blasted out a medley of hits, many of them now part of TV-show theme songs. There was a different take on "My Generation," too, if you didn't notice. It was a remix by will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas that featured Slash, formerly of Guns N' Roses. A montage of historic news events and pop culture icons was shown as a bit of the song played during a commercial for FLO TV. The full single is being offered as a download, with all proceeds to benefit Haiti.

The original song was recorded in 1965. The downloadable version of the song includes raps by will.i.am that reference the Jan. 12 earthquake.

"I altered the lyric to fit my generation now," will.i.am tells Billboard.

On the FLO TV site, will.i.am appears along with the video. The single is for sale at Amazon, Dipdive and TheWho.com.

Until March 7, all proceeds from the single will go to Oxfam Haiti Earthquake Response Fund. The organization is delivering essential aid to 90,000 people who are now living outdoors in crowded camp settlements.
