Remember the fire that hit Boulder, Colorado last month—the one that burned more than 6,000 acres, destroyed 169 structures, and caused $217 million in damage?

The community was, and continues to be, pretty impressive in its efforts to help people who were affected. Fundraisers and drives for clothing and other supplies were organized on the fly the week of the fire, and local professionals have offered services from acupuncture to psychological therapy for coping with the aftermath.

So when you bring in crowd-drawing bands at a giant venue and sell tickets to raise money for even further fire relief, you get a giant success: $346,300 worth, money that the Boulder Mountain Fire Relief Fund will distribute to firefighters and residents directly affected by the fires.

The Fourmile Canyon Revival was a hippie-heavy lineup, featuring Colorado locals the String Cheese Incident, Big Head Todd & The Monsters, Yonder Mountain String Band, Vince Herman & Drew Emmitt—and Phish members, Jon Fishman, Mike Gordon, Page McConnell and Trey Anastasio.

To top it off, to keep some focus on the mission of the evening, Congressman Jared Polis spoke about the courageous firefighters—several of whom lost their own homes in the fire. All in all, a big success of an evening.
