First it was the Democratic Convention, now it's the League of Conservation Voters; The Black Eyed Peas know that they have some clout when it comes to promoting political causes. But this time, it's all about going green.

As part of the US leg of their E.N.D. world tour, The Black Eyed Peas are partnering with Rethink, Green For All and League of Conservation Voters (LCV) to raise awareness about climate change and to promote a strong clean-energy.

These six-time Grammy award winners know that with a tremendous fan following, their music can be about more than just a memorable concert, and are using this part of their tour to educate fans about all the benefits of going green, from supporting sustainable products to curbing greenhouse gases.

"From creating new sustainable products out of recycled bottles to capping harmful global warming pollution, the actions and policies that protect the planet for future generations are the same as those that create new jobs and economic opportunities. The Peas are proud to be getting the word out about these important efforts, and we hope everyone coming to the shows and visiting our website will get involved and take action," said The Black Eyed Peas member will.i.am.

The campaign means much more than just a concert. With the help of Rethink, an innovative fabric and apparel company that focuses on producing sustainable fabric from recycled plastic bottles, each city along the tour will feature a unique recycling initiative.

Non-profit partners Green for All and LCV will be focusing on community outreach and educational events, including engaging conversations on jobs in the green economy. Possibly the coolest part of the campaign, fans at each concert will be encouraged to recycle their plastic bottles, later to be turned into fabric and sold as The Black Eyed Peas t-shirts.

Even if you can't attend any of the tour concerts, you can still follow along on the co-branded Green for All and The Black Eyed Peas website.

The LCV hopes that the tour will resonate with more than just the fans and be a catalyst for environmental policy change on a national level. "It's time for our senators to work together to swiftly pass comprehensive clean energy and climate legislation -- so to quote The Black Eyed Peas, our message to the U.S. Senate is simple: 'Let's get it started,'" said LCV President Gene Karpinski.
