Bigfoot lives a pretty green life: his home is entirely off the grid, he doesn't need a car to get to work, and he doesn't need to worry at all about the sustainability level of his clothes, since he's perfectly well dressed in all that fur. So it makes sense that the Sasquatch music festival would take its cues from our furry woodland friend, naming their three-day lineup of rock and comedy performances after the legendary mountain man.

Held at The Gorge amphitheater in Quincy, WA, Sasquatch is known for its eclectic rosters; past performers have included Kings of Leon, Beck, Coldplay, Nine Inch Nails, Pixies, R.E.M., and Death Cab for Cutie. This year, expect to see My Morning Jacket, Vampire Weekend, The National, Massive Attack, Pavement, Kid Cudi, and OK Go (among many others) on stage, and Parks and Recreation's Aziz Ansari, The Office's Craig Robinson, and stand-up comic Bobcat Goldthwait in the comedy tent.

Along with booking the outdoor accommodations that the festival's namesake prefers (and by that we mean: camping), you can get on board with the other green initiatives at Sasquatch: plan to carpool and you'll be entered to win free music downloads; show up in a car with all its seats filled and you could get upgraded parking; and plan to recycle all your paper and plastic (last year, the recycling program at the festival collected 4.5 tons of trash). Even better, the entire festival will be certified as carbon neutral--run 100 percent on wind power and with 125 percent of the emissions offset by clean energy consulting firm Carbon Harmony. And while all this will have you feeling like a real-life Sasquatch there is one important difference: You should still wear clothes.
