Why we like it
We don't. About the only good thing you can say is that they are cheap.
What we worry about
They look cheap. They open only 50% but unlike double-hungs, you can't really tune them. Seals often deteriorate so that they leak. They are often built into big fixed windows to provide the minimum legal required ventilation, leading to a big opening of glass but very little fresh air.
