Here’s a sneak peek of the summer’s new line-up:

One Water, premiering August 2 at 9/8c
Narrated by Martin Sheen and shot in 15 countries, this documentary follows the daily struggle of several communities throughout the planet to obtain and maintain potable water. One Water highlights a world where water is exquisitely abundant in some places and dangerously lacking in others, leaving audiences with a series of provocative questions that culminate in one that will impact all of our futures: is water a human right or a commodity?

Oceans Blue, premiering August 8 at 9/8c
Oceans are Earth's last great wilderness. Their depths hold stories that reveal truths about our planet and life on it. This series presents our oceans as we've never seen them before. A team of underwater explorers are on a year long mission to unravel exciting stories from the world of underwater archaeology, geology, marine biology and anthropology, revealing fascinating and surprising insights into the history and culture of our planet.

Coastwatch, premiering Fridays at 8/7c
Coastwatch follows the men and women of New Zealand's Ministry Of Fisheries, who patrol and protect the country's precious marine environment. The task facing these organizations is huge -- from illegal fishing, to highly-organized poaching rings with criminal networks, to the relentless tide of reckless shell food gatherers and recreational fishermen who often exceed their daily limit. Watch sneak peeks of Coastwatch here.

Blue Planet, premiering August 9 at 8/7c
Sir David Attenborough narrates this landmark series about the earth’s marine environment. Blue Planet is a definitive exploration of our planet’s oceans and reveals the sea and its inhabitants at their most fearsome and alluring. Episodes chronicle the mysteries of the deep and the intrigues of coastal sea mammals; investigate tidal and climatic influences; and depict the creatures and systems that revolve around our Blue Planet.

Sharkwater, premiering August 21 at 10/9c
Sharkwater takes you into the most shark-rich waters of the world, exposing the exploitation and corruption surrounding the world's shark populations. For filmmaker and director Rob Stewart, exploring sharks began as an underwater adventure. Driven by passion fed from a lifelong fascination with sharks, Stewart debunks historical stereotypes and media depictions of sharks as bloodthirsty, man-eating monsters and reveals the reality of sharks as pillars in the evolution of the seas. Stewart's remarkable journey of courage and determination changes from a mission to save the world's sharks, into a fight for his life, and that of humankind.

The Cove, premiering August 30 at 9/8c
Academy Award® Winner for Best Documentary of 2009, The Cove follows an elite team of activists, filmmakers and freedivers as they embark on a covert mission to penetrate a remote and hidden cove in Taiji, Japan, shining a light on a dark and deadly secret. Utilizing state-of-the-art techniques, including hidden microphones and cameras in fake rocks, the team uncovers how this small seaside village serves as a horrifying microcosm of massive ecological crimes happening worldwide. The result is a provocative mix of investigative journalism, eco-adventure and arresting imagery, adding up to an unforgettable story that has inspired audiences worldwide to action.
