As every mom of young kids knows, the meaning of "spa" is way less likely to be defined as a trip to bliss and much more akin to a 15-minute bath without 10,000 knocks on the bathroom door.

In the spirit of "Calgon take me away," but with a much more modern and natural bend, I'd like to share my take on some of the best, most luxurious, yet attainable eco-friendly treats that kids (and grownups) can bestow on their moms, without putting to task the mother of us all...Gaia.

If you're feeling flush, consider an assortment of Dr. Hauschka. Oprah loves them, as does discerning Martha Stewart. They're certified biodynamic (which goes beyond "organic"). Plus, besides the wildly wonderful natural fragrances, they also profess to be healing. I swear the Sage Bath has built up my butt and calf muscles just by me sitting in it (well, come on, I can dream, can't I?) If you need help assembling a kit, the folks at Peaceful Company are über helpful.

Alternatively, if you're lucky enough to live near a Whole Foods Market, check out the exclusive spa kit from EO. It's the real deal, because it meets Whole Foods' stringent Premium Body Care Standards. For $19.99, you can get it all: massage oil, shower gel, bath salts, soy massage candle (ohhh, that sounds great!) and exfoliating gloves.

You can also do your own gift grabbing: Wander along the the lush cornuciopia called the Whole Body department, and, like a modern day Little Red Riding Hood, fill your basket with oodles of drool-worthy goodies.
