Most of us have some socks lying around that have lost their match. There's something about dryers that just absolutely consumes socks, if you ask me. With all of these spares lying around, it's natural that we wonder what use we can make of these socks. After all, wasting is terrible and the main objective for most green-minded folk is to figure out how to reuse as often as possible.

Well, with just a little piece of Velcro (or a button or zipper sewn on), old socks can make some great cases. If you have a sock with a funky pattern, that will work best. However, black socks are great for those of you seeking a more sleek kind of case and for those of you looking for an idea on how to decorate the plain sock you have, it's easy! Tie Dye kits are great for this as well as sequins and patches.

The things these make great cases for:

Ipods
Cell Phones
Cameras
Change
Business Cards

I'm sure you can think of even more ways to use your mismatched socks. Whatever you do...don't throw them out!
