Everyone's talking about Michelle Obama's fashion sense. From industry execs to my hair stylist, it seems as though most women and fashion savvy folks have their eyes on Michelle these days. And that's precisely why she'll be gracing the cover of Vogue soon. What women are liking so much about Michelle's fashion is her accessibility. She doesn't hesitate to mix and match fancy clothes with plain Jane clothes. She's fearless, and you should be, too.

Emulating Michelle's style the eco-way doesn't have to be difficult. In fact, you can do it without buying anything brand new.

  1. Pearls

Michelle is usually wearing pearls. From long pearl chains to chunky pearl chokers, she knows that pearls are classy. The cool thing about pearls is that they're timeless. What's even cooler is that pearls with some time behind them have a lot more charm. So hit up your local vintage or thrift store and invest in some used pearls to get her glamourous jewelry look down.

  2. Colors

Michelle is all about bright and bold colors. And I think it's great. If you want to add some color to your wardrobe, you don't need to rush out and buy new clothes. Instead, try dying some clothes you already have with eco-friendly dyes.

  3. Belts

Michelle wears the high-belt flawlessly. It's pretty neat how a simple belt around the upper waist can change the entire tone of an otherwise boring shirt or dress. Instead of buying new clothes or belts specifically designed to be worn high, borrow a small belt from a child/teen in your life and buckle it over your waist. It'll spice up the outfit at hand, I guarantee it.
