Save Electricity, Be More Beautiful

Being more beautiful can be as easy as turning off some of your gadgets.

Being beautiful doesn't have to mean burning fossil fuels (hair dryers are notorious for their huge energy consumption) or using chemicals or packaged products. You can save electricity, time, money and your health and appearance by focusing on naturally healthy habits that are good for your mental and physical health and the planet's too.

  1. Turn off the television
Television consumes electricity and promotes laziness. Adopting a hobby other than t.v. watching can get you out of the house and in shape before you know it. Replace 30 minutes of television a day with a long walk through your neighborhood and you'll cut down on the electricity and increase your calories burned per day.

  2. Avoid the microwave
The studies proving the beauty benefits of fresh fruits and vegetables are countless. Start ditching some of those microwave meals for fresh fruits and veggies. You'll save on the electricity used in microwaving and you'll start to see the beauty benefits of eating right, too.

  3. Try yoga instead of coffee
A large percentage of Americans wake themselves up with coffee each day. If you're brewing your own, try replacing your coffee with yoga one morning a week. I've been using it to wake me up in the mornings for years now. You'll save on the electricity required to run the coffee machine and start to see a slimmer, more toned you in no time.
