Whether you're attending a star studded dinner party as a guest, an upscale party with friends or you just want to look your best as you sit and watch Hollywood Green, everyone wants to look their best, right. The perfect little cocktail dress makes you feel like a million bucks but often the earth pays a far larger price for the use of unnatural fabrics.

The pesticides used on non-organic fabrics like cotton have been shown to cause cancer and other diseases. Organic agriculture is one way to prevent any more of these chemicals from getting into the ecosystem. Not only are these pesticides bad for the environment, they're bad for the people that wear them.

Luckily designers are catching on; check out these great eco-friendly cocktail dress designers:

Larsen Gray is the epitome of eco-chic. Her glamorous little eco-numbers are 100 percent organic cotton and would definitely garner a host of compliments at any event.

Beau Soleil was named after the designer, Anne Salvatore Epstein's favorite oyster. Salvatore focuses on, "sustainability, fair trade and labor, as well as organic raw materials with the end goal of offering consumers environmentally healthy clothing choices without sacrificing fashion." With deliciously flattering pieces like the beau drape and the beau wrap, it seems Salvatore hit her mark.

Coco's Shoppe takes organic cotton to a whole new level with the mon petit oiseau cassie dress, a fanciful take on the little black dress made from all green materials.

This post was inspired by Planet Green's show, Hollywood Green.
