HUGE purses are in style and not just in Hollywood or on Hollywood Green. Walking down the streets of New York City, it's hard for me to even pass by a fashionable lady without her having a purse half her own size anchored from her shoulder. Yet, more often than not, these girls aren't actually filling their purses with much of anything. They DO look 'cool', sure, but why not use them? It doesn't make sense to me to waste so here are some ways in which you ladies can utilize your giant purses and reduce your own waste simultaneously.
- DON'T BOTHER WITH BAGS . You've got enough room in your purse most likely for your groceries, shopping spree finds, and just about anything else you purchase throughout the day. Cut down your personal waste by just storing these items in your purse instead of getting bags from the separate stores.
- PACK A LUNCH. If you're going to have all of this room, why not cut down on your lunch expenses and pack a lunch? This will also help you to eat healthier and eliminate packaging that usually accompanies take out.
- MAKE A POINT TO RECYCLE . Not every city every where has public recycling bins. If this is the case for you, why not toss the things you'd like to recycle in your purse and recycle them when you get home? Every little bit counts!
Big purses being in style can actually be a really awesome thing if people start using their extra space for good. Think about these things the next time you grab that big summer bag to take out with you for the day.
