Britney Spears has never struck us a Mother Earth-type figure, but the beleaguered chanteuse is giving the planet the clothes off her back-literally.
From now till the end of March, Spears will be auctioning off six of the outfits she donned during her recent cameo as a smitten receptionist on CBS's How I Met Your Mother, with proceeds going to the Natural Resources Defense Council.
At press time, bids totaled $2,979.43, with most of the attention fluttering around a rust-colored embroidered dress by Nanette Lepore, which started at $10 and quickly rose to $910 (excluding the $10 shipping fee) in less than a day. ::SeenOn.com
