V-neck t-shirts have made a huge comeback over the last few years. I attribute much of this to American Apparel's charming ad campaigns. But whatever the reason; they are back in style. Before you rush off to pay way too much money for a brand new t-shirt, consider revamping one of the old shirts you already have. By the time you're done with this project, not only will you have a new v-neck shirt, but it'll be cooler than anything you could have bought from the store.
How to turn your old t-shirt into a v-neck shirt with a design:

Locate your shirt. If you've got a shirt lying around that you aren't wearing, this project is perfect for them.

Slowly cut a V shape into the shirt. If you only want the V shape on the front of the shirt, start your V at the shoulder seams. I, however, wanted the V to be even on both sides of my shirt.

Print off some sort of design onto transfer paper. I used the same paisley print that worked perfectly for some curtain ties I did a while ago. Other ideas: flowers, letters to spell your name or a message, animals, starts, hearts, or a city skyline.

Cut out your designs from the transfer paper and place them all around the V neckline in the arrangement you like best. Use an iron or heat press to seal the images to the shirt.

Remove the transfer paper and allow the shirt to cool.
Enjoy! This project is a great way to make use of an old shirt and turn heads at the same time. When everyone asks you where you got your awesome shirt, use the opportunity to tell them about your green lifestyle.
