The first time I made this DIY t-shirt, I was striving for a way to make a t-shirt from one of my favorite bands look classy. That's not always easy when the band's name is "Kill Kill Orchestra", but I managed to pull it off with this simple scissor treatment. Turning any kind of t-shirt you have, even with questionable band names, into something with a bit more elegance is easy with this project.
How to make an elegant shoulders exposed shirt from a t-shirt:

Locate your shirt. Make sure it is a shirt that fits you well—a loose shirt will not work for this project.

Cut a slit above the arm hole on each side of the shirt.

Once your slits are cut, angle your scissors diagonally and cut out the v-shape for the neckline.

Use some of the extra fabric to tie the upper back section of the shirt tighter to ensure that the design keeps its shape.
