For most of us, the next few weeks are going to be just about filled to capacity with cocktail parties, sit-down dinners, holiday lunches, and assorted other get-togethers that require you to look good. While this DIY shrug from Threadbanger may not be fancy enough for dinner and dancing at the company holiday party, add some low-key beading to a black version and it takes any business outfit from daytime to drinks. You’ll need a turtleneck shirt (as always, check thrift stores if your closet doesn't hold any finds) and basic sewing supplies like scissors and pins. And if you are one of the lucky few who managed to decline a few of those mandatory rounds of cheer this season, it works just as well for snuggling up with a movie marathon instead.
