Making A Cargo Scarf The Green Way

Sure, you can buy a scarf from the store this winter, but why not make a better one on your own?

The only thing cooler than a beautiful scarf is a beautiful scarf with pockets. Creating a scarf that's got nifty little places for you to shove things like your wallet and lip gloss is easier than you probably think and absolutely fashionable. Buying something like this is expensive, and that's if you can even find a store selling something that matches your taste exactly. Making a scarf like this yourself is the cheap and green thing to do. Forget the wasted resources and transportation fuel involved in buying a scarf from the store. Make your own and make it better.

Instructables.com posted a great how-to on this project. Check it out here.

There you go! You can add in decorations as you see fit, but the point is this: with very little money and resources, you can make a scarf that will prove to be much more useful than the ones from the store.
