Like many New Yorkers, I appreciate a good night out on the town. This often times does consist of alcohol consumption. While I'm educated in the negative aspects of alcohol, particularly the correlation between alcohol and health, it seems as though I'm always learning another reason to cut back on my own consumption.
If you need another reason to cut back on your alcohol intake, here's one: wrinkles.
Why should we, collectively as a culture, be spending so much money on anti-wrinkle agents (that most likely don't even work) if we can just reverse our bad habits that are causing wrinkles instead? It doesn't make sense to me that we should be supporting the production of an industry that may not need to exist the way that it does...if even at all. Not only do all of the anti-wrinkle creams come in containers and packaging that need to be recycled after use, but many of the chemicals involved in these formulas aren't the greenest, either. So why not do this:
Challenge yourself to have one less drink every time that you drink. It's a small change, but it'll improve both your skin and the environment. You'll delay the wrinkling affect alcohol has on skin and you'll save on the production and transportation of both that extra bottle of beer (or whatever your chosen beverage is) as well as the anti-wrinkle cream you might find yourself buying if the wrinkles accompany the drinking.
