Start an environmental dialogue and look hip with tees from COTAM, or Clothing of the American Mind. The socially responsible brand hails from L.A. and is sweatshop-free and American-made.

Their new ECO line features progressive messages like, "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rethink" and "I Recycle Stuff," printed with 100% non-toxic, water-soluble inks on fabrics made from recycled plastic bottles (PET) and organic cotton. Not only that, the shirts are pre-washed and shrunk using biodegradable detergents, giving them an uber-soft feel.

But the tees' texture isn't the only thing that'll have you feeling warm and fuzzy inside. For every shirt that you purchase, a percentage of the sale goes to supporting worker's rights overseas and to groups supporting environmental preservation such as Alliance for Climate Protection and Planet Green's non-profit partner, Global Green

Pick out your favorite COTAM tee online or at their flagship store located at 1284 W. Sunset Blvd. in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles.
