The Look:
- Mary Louise Parker's Dramatic Eyes (Slide 1)
Blue eyeshadow is not always easy to pull off: Too much of the wrong shade will leave you looking more like a 1984 prom queen than a modern-day belle of the ball. But at the Golden Globe awards, makeup artist Tina Turnbow gave Weeds actress Mary-Louise Parker just the right eye-popping shade—it's actually a combination of purples from tarte's eye couture palette—to set off her deep brown eyes and dark locks. The color coordinates with MLPs jewel-toned dress without being too matchy-matchy-and natural cheeks and lips let her eyes shine. - Purple eye shadow (Slide 2)
Recreate the silvery purples on Parker's lids with NVEY's creative eye color system—number 4 has the right shades—which is certified organic. (NVEY, $61) - Pale pink blush (Slide 3)
Get your own awards-show glow with Physician's Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Blush; it's made without synthetic preservatives, parabens, coloring, and fragrances (and the brush is natural goat hair). (Physician's Formula, $11.95) - Pink lip color
Turnbow used tarte's 24/7 lip sheers for Parker's smile, layering the Champagne Brunch and Tea Time colors. The glosses are chemical and phthtalate-free, and packaged in recycled materials to reduce waste. (Tarte, $14)
